Illusionist to perform at Trussville First Baptist Church
From The Jefferson County Journal staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The First Baptist Church of Trussville will be hosting illusionist Matt Adams on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.
Adams specializes in family-appropriate illusions and has performed for people of all walks of life from young children to celebrities, top executives and CEOs everywhere including such locations as Australia, Ireland, Thailand, Canada, Mexico, England, Kenya, Uganda, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic.
Adams often performs for adults, but he has also worked specifically with children and youth in various settings including Sunday morning Bible studies, CEF clubs, AWANA, Upward events, DNow, VBS, school programs, summer camps, mission trips, and more for over 15 years.
“My primary love is Jesus, of course!” Adams said in a statement. “But I also love my wife Tonya and three children: Emily, Ashley, and Liam. I love reading books and I enjoy studying the Bible, theology, and apologetics. I also enjoy playing chess and going to the movies. I am a black belt in martial arts, have played classical piano with an orchestra and on television, and I have a masters in Global Studies from Liberty University. My life’s purpose is to become like Jesus Christ and point others to Him using the gifts He’s given me.”
The show will be held in the church sanctuary and doors will be open at 5:30 p.m. This is a free event and all are invited to attend.
