HT varsity softball shuts out Pisgah

TRUSSVILLE — HT varsity softball shut out Pisgah 12-0 Monday.
Molly Cobb had the mound for the Huskies, and she threw a complete game shutout of Pisgah. Cobb went six innings. She gave up zero runs, one hit and struck out four.
The third was a big inning for Hewitt-Trussville. The Huskies put up seven runs with Maddie Katona, Kenleigh Cahalan, and Anyce Harvey all getting RBIs during the inning.
Pisgah pitching gave up 12 runs on 12 hits and struck out five.
The Huskies logged two homers at Monday’s game. Cobb contributed her homer in the sixth, and so did Crystal Maze.
Katona, Cobb and Kailey Walter got hits for Hewitt-Trussville. Cobb and Katona each got three hits for the Huskies, leading the team.
