More railway work coming Monday; Praytor, Camp Coleman, Windsong, Northlake, Meadownlark, Carrington Drive among impacted

TRUSSVILLE — Norfolk Southern Corporation will be closing several railway crossings on Monday from early morning through the evening. This action will impact the areas of Praytor Road, Camp Coleman, Windsong, Northlake, Commerce Commercial Park, Meadownlark Drive, Bethune Parkway and Carrington Drive.
The Trussville Police Department said that crossings will be closed at Praytor Road, Camp Coleman Road, Commerce Drive, Meadowlark Drive (work on Commerce and Meadowlark will not occur simultaneously), Bethune Parkway and Carrington Drive. Motorists are asked to follow detour signs and use caution when traveling the temporary routes.
According to police detours will be available for the impacted areas.
Camp Coleman Road will detour onto Will Pond Road through the former Goldkist plant to Commerce Drive. Motorists can turn left onto Commerce Drive and continue following detour signs to Highway 11 or Cardinal Street.
Commerce Drive will detour from Cardinal Street to Meadowlark Drive to access Highway 11.
Meadowlark Drive will detour to Cardinal Street for access to Highway 11.
Bethune Parkway will detour to the back of The Preserves, turning onto Cardinal Street to reach Meadowlark Drive or Commerce Drive for access to Highway 11.
Carrington Drive will detour through Carrington Lakes to the rear gate accessing Black Jack Road.
Authorities said that the city of Trussville bears no responsibility for the railroad closings, detours or signage. All responsibility rests with Norfolk Southern Railway. Any questions should be directed to Norfolk Southern at 1-304-989-5639.
