Girls basketball heads to AHSAA regional

TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Basketball team is heading to a tournament.
Hewitt-Trussville Girls Basketball will travel to the AHSAA Northwest Regional Tournament this week. The Huskies will face Austin in the Regional Semifinal Thursday at noon. The game will be played at Wallace State Community College. The winner will advance to the Regional Championship game which will be held Feb. 19.
The Huskies finished 2nd in 7A Area 6 this season. Coach Tonya Hunter’s team has a 18-10 overall record. Austin won the 7A Area 8 title this year and has a 27-5 overall record.
