6 Hewitt-Trussville wrestlers qualify for state

TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling traveled to the Birmingham Crossplex over the weekend to compete in the 2019 AHSAA 7A North Super Section event. As a team, the Huskies placed 5th out of 12 teams. The top four finishers in each weight class advanced to the State finals. Coach Dave Barden saw six of his wrestlers qualify for championship.

The 2019 AHSAA State Wrestling Championship will be held in Huntsville Feb. 8 through Feb. 9. The Huskies finished 4th as a team in 2018.
