Rep. Danny Garrett chosen for important leadership positions in the Ala House of Representatives

MONTGOMERY — State Representative, and Trussville resident, Danny Garrett has been chosen for leadership positions in two state house committees.

“Today the Speaker released committee leadership for the House for the next quadrennium,” Garrett said in a statement to the Tribune. “I will be the Vice Chair of Ways and Means Education Committee (the $7 billion education budget) and will also be Vice Chair of the Education Policy Committee.”
Garrett is the state representative for District 44, which covers Trussville, Clay and Pinson. He grew up in Center Point and graduated from Erwin High School in 1976. Garrett has been a resident of Trussville for more than 20 years.
