Lane Closures I-65 north bound, in Morris

BIRMINGHAM – Beginning at approximately 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 11th, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will make Asphalt Pavement repairs to the northbound lanes of I-65 located one half mile north of the Barber Parkway Interchange (Milepost 275.8) as follows:

• Beginning at 8 p.m., the inside (left) two (2) lanes will be closed from the Barber Parkway overpass to MP 276.
• Once the inside (left) two (2) lanes are completed, the operation will move to the outside (right) lane where work will continue in a similar manner.
• The lanes will be closed in the area of repairs for the time needed to patch the low area and the asphalt to cool.

All travel lanes will be reopened to traffic no later than 5 a.m., Wednesday, September 12.

Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
