Mother charged with ‘reckless murder’ for the death of her 4-year-old daughter
SHELBY COUNTY —Alabaster police have confirmed that that Amy Reeves Silver was arrested by U.S. Marshalls on Tuesday. Silver has been charged with reckless murder in the death of her 4-year-old daughter, according to WBRC 6.
The daughter, Sharon Smith, was in the car with Amy Reeves Silver when a train hit their car while it was on Fulton Springs Road.
Silver was arrested at her Oneonta home and then transported to the Shelby County jail.
Additional charges include unlawful possession ofmarijuana, driving under the influence and disregarding a railroad warning device.
Her bond is set at $154,000.
