Animal Control officers take 83 dogs from Trussville home
They investigated the property after receiving complaints that the animals may have been neglected.

Numerous dogs were removed from a property in Trussville after the Greater Birmingham Humane Society received complaints about a residence with animals that may be considered neglected, said Trussville Police Lt. Phil Dillon.
On Monday, Trussville Police were called to a home on Floyd Bradford Road to meet with an animal control officer. There they found multiple dogs inside the property as well as outside.
They also discovered from a Facebook page that the owners were selling puppies and parakeets.
The Trussville Police Animal Control Supervisor was called to the scene along with Animal Control from the GBHS where they spoke with the owners. The conditions were deemed unsanitary and the property owners had to surrender the animals, as well as pay fees.
“Eighty-three dogs were surrendered and removed from the property by the GBHS,” Dillon said in statement. “As of today, the property owner has given all the birds away, and all have been removed from the property.”
Charges are pending against the owners for cruelty to animals and operating without a business license
The case remains under investigation.
