Christmas donations needed for Lovelady Center

BIRMINGHAM — The Lovelady Center, which provides many essentials and services to women and children in need, is requesting donations for children ages 9-16, according to WBRC.
Lovelady hopes to gift presents to more than one thousand kids this season, however supplies are running low for kids in the older age ranges.
As Stephanie Smith, of the Lovelady Center, told WBRC that there are a lot of presents for the younger children, but she wants the older children to have a great Christmas as well.
“Our older kids are the ones that are kind of hurting the most and that are more emotional and stuff.” Said Smith. “Believe it or not those toys and those presents mean just as much to them as it does to our younger babies,”
