Birmingham Police Department arrests robbery suspect

BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives have made an arrest in connection with a robbery investigation. The incident happened on Saturday at approximately 12:50 p.m. in the 7500 block of Toulon Avenue.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Rafael Taylor, 30-year-old black male, of Bessemer. A warrant for attempted murder has been obtained against Taylor. Detectives also obtained a warrant for first degree robbery against the suspect.
A surveillance photo, disseminated through various media outlets, helped to identify the suspect.
Taylor is currently in the Jefferson County Jail.
