The National Weather Service is reporting that heavy rain bans with tropical-storm force winds are spreading across the outer banks and coastal southeaster North Carolina. A life-threatening storm surge and rainfall is expected.
It is currently located at 33.6 degrees north, 76.1 degrees west.
Florence is approximately 110 miles east-south-east of Wilmington North Carolina and approximately 165 miles east of Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
Florence has maximum sustained winds of 105 miles per hour, minimum central pressure of 955 millibars and is moving north-west at 10 miles per hour.
