ALDOT to perform work in Hoover at I65/I-459 Northbound Flyover Ramp, expect closures

HOOVER — If the weather permits on Thursday, starting at 9 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will perform a bridge inspection the I-65 Northbound Flyover Ramp to I-459 at Milepost 249.621.

Because of the inspection the outside (right) lane and shoulder of the ramp will be closed in the area where the work is being performed.  After completion of work on the northbound ramp work will continue on the southbound ramp in s similar fashion.

Travel lanes will be back in-service no later than 3 p.m.

ALDOT request that motorists consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
