One injured, one dead in West Jefferson County traffic accident
The accident occurred at the 200 block of Eastern Valley Road near Elrie Boulevardd after 11 a.m. on Monday.
A traffic accident in Bessemer has left one injured and one dead, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at the 200 block of Eastern Valley Road near Elrie Boulevardd after 11 a.m. on Monday. An adult occupant of a vehicle was taken to an area hospital while a driver in another vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers at the scene learned that the driver traveling on the road crossed the center line and collided with another car head on. The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.
The name of the victim has not been released. Police continue to investigate.
