Pinson Valley softball puts up five homers in 20-4 victory over Pelham

PELHAM — Pinson Valley Varsity softball routed Pelham 20-4 at Thursday’s game.
Mollie People’s gave a dazzling performance, contributing four hits with a homer in the second, and singles in the fourth fifth and sixth innings.
Indian Shauna Clevenger also brought the good stuff when in the first inning she grounded out and scored a run.
The Indians big inning came in the sixth when they put up a total of ten runs. Anna Sullivan, Keara Gibbs, Graci Graves and Ka’Mya Hampton were indispensable to the success. Each of those players delivered an RBI in the top of the sixth.
Hampton had the mound for Pinson Valley for three and a third innings. She gave up three runs on two hits and struck out two. Jordan Walker pitched for two and two-thirds innings in relief.
The Indians offense was on fire putting up a total of five homers for the day from Gibbs, Hampton, Peoples and Walker.
