Trussville woman dies after being struck by vehicle on U.S. 280 in Mountain Brook

MOUNTAIN BROOK — A Trussville resident has been identified as the woman killed after being hit by a car on U.S. Hwy 280 in Mountain Brook on Sunday evening.
The victim was Miranda Lynn Wiley, 24-year-old white female from Trussville, according to The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Mountain Brook Police reported that shortly past 8 p.m. on Sunday, a wreck occurred on U.S. Hwy 280 West between Shades Creek Parkway and Office Park. Wiley reportedly got out of the wrecked vehicle and crossed over to the eastbound side on foot. Police said the pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on the eastbound side.
