Suspect on the run after shooting at Birmingham Police

BIRMINGHAM – At around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday a suspect fired at Birmingham police, according to Carol Robinson of Al.com.
Officers responded to reports of shots being fired in the area of the block of Ninth Street west and discovered a suspect that was speeding away from the area. They followed and when the vehicle stopped at the block of Ninth Street West the suspect left his car and began to fire at the police. Officers returned fire and the suspect fled again.
Two police vehicles sustained damage but no officers were hurt.
The search continues for the suspect.
