Internet security classes being offered at the Library in the Forrest
From the Jefferson County Journal staff reports
VESTAVIA HILLS – One major pitfall of the digital age is protecting sensitive information when nearly all of the world is connected to the Internet. Scammers are on the prowl 24 hours a day looking for some way to hurt the unsuspecting and the unaware.
To help prepare citizens for this new reality the Library in the Forrest is offering a class in online safety. Participants will learn how to protect their computer from malware, how to guard their privacy and how to spot scams. Forewarned is forearmed.
The session will meet in the electronic class room on Monday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
