The National Weather Service is reporting that Hurricane Florence is moving steadily towards the Carolina coastal areas. A life-threatening storm surge and rainfall is expected.
It is currently located at 30.9 north, 72.5 west.
Florence is approximately 385 miles south-east of Wilmington North Carolina and approximately 420 miles east-south-east of Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
Florence has maximum sustained winds of 120 miles per hour, minimum central pressure of 949 millibars and is moving north-west at 16 miles per hour.
