Car burglars thwarted by joggers
HOOVER – Hoover police have arrested a suspected car burglar after he was found inside the car of the victim, as reported by WIAT 42.
Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Riverchase Parkway West around 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning. According to authorities the suspect fled, but he was captured by the victim and friends.
Authorities were able to arrest suspect Gregory Alan Trott without complications. Trott’s personally owned vehicle was still parked in front of the victim’s house. A woman was also arrested who was in the car. She has been identified at Brianna Martinae Ross.
Both Trott and Ross have been charged with unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. They are behing held on a $5,000 bond each.
It is possible that the two will be charged for other violations.
Detectives recovered the stolen property that this incident and other car break-ins in the area.
