Couple stabbed at Birmingham Public Library Tuesday evening
Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday evening, July 31, Birmingham Police Department reported that a couple were stabbed at the downtown Public Library.
Both victims, man and woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the stab wounds. The man was stabbed in the abdomen, the woman stabbed in the arm according to AL.com. Police say that the suspect owed money to one of the victims.
Birmingham police did not say if the stabbing happened inside or outside the library, which is located on 2100 Park Place.
A suspect is in custody but has not yet been identified. Further details are not yet available.
