Vestavia Hills rezones elementary schools
The changes are slated to begin with the 2019-2020 school year.
The Vestavia Hills School Board has voted to rezone the district’s elementary schools starting with the 2019-2020 school year, the Birmingham Business Journal reports.
The changes, which were initially proposed by Superintendent Todd Freeman, will move some Liberty Park students to Cahaba Heights and keeps some Cahaba Heights students zoned for Vestavia Hills Elementary. The rezoning will evenly distribute students across the district’s five schools.
