Suspect arrested in west Jefferson County bank robbery, another suspect at large
The arrested suspect is a resident of Mulga; his driver has not yet been located.
A suspect in Wednesday morning’s robbery of a Graysville bank has been arrested while police search for another that remains at large, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sheriff’s deputies were called to a Regions Bank branch in Graysville on a report of a robbery. Deputies learned that a man entered the building and demanded money from a teller, though no weapon was seen. After he was given the money, he left and entered a gold Lexus sedan driven by another man.
The suspect was described as a white male standing at 5′ 10″wearing a blue bandanna over his face along with a blue hat and a blue sweatshirt. The driver of the car is described as a black male, but no other details are available.
The robbery suspect was located after 11:30 a.m. by the FBI at the 100 block of Mimosa Ct. in Mulga. According to the Sheriff’s Office, he is being questioned by detectives and will be taken to the Jefferson County Jail to await formal charges. His name is currently being withheld.
The driver of the vehicle has not been located by police. No injuries were reported from the robbery.
