Kimberly firefighters to get pay raise
Every member of the department will receive a slight raise — plus the fire station will undergo renovations.
The Kimberly City Council recently voted to give its firefighters a raise, the North Jefferson News reports.
The city’s two assistant chiefs will receive a raise from $13 per hour to $13.50 per hour, while the Fire Chief Chris Hardin’s pay will be raised from $14 to $15. The rest of the fire department’s staff will receive $12.50 per hour.
The council also approved $1,500 in renovations to the city’s fire station.
