Former Gardendale principal announces retirement
After 24 years in JeffCo schools, Mary Beth Blankenship is moving on.

Former Gardendale High School Principal Mary Beth Blankenship has announced her retirement from the Jefferson County school system, North Jefferson News reports.
Blankenship, who has been GHS’s principal for the past two years — and part of the JeffCo school system for 24 years — will move to Bryan County, Georgia, where she will work in an administrative capacity.
