Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest seeks funds for new makerspace
The space, which will include a 3D printer, as well as video and audio equipment, was first planned in 2016.
The Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest is moving forward with the construction of a makerspace it began planning in 2016, the Vestavia Voice reports.
The space will include a 3D printer, photography and audio tools, and computers, the report continues. Related classes will also be offered.
The Vestavia Hills Library Foundation is seeking $100,000 in private and corporate funding for the project. It’s already received $40,000 in seed money from the Vestavia Hills Friends of the Library organization. That money will go toward construction, design, and some of the makerspace’s equipment.
