Alabama School of Fine Arts executive director to retire
Michael Meeks will step down after seven years in the position.
The Alabama School of Fine Arts will soon be searching for a new executive director, the Birmingham Business Journal reports.
Michael W. Meeks, who has served as executive director for the past seven years, announced Monday he would be stepping down. He will remain as interim executive director until the school’s board of trustees can find a replacement.
Jim Noles, the board’s chairman, told the BBJ that Meeks “will be leaving the school on a firm footing… He will be missed.”
