BPD announces open house for Police Explorers

BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department has announced that the Birmingham Police Explorers Open House is scheduled for Thursday, November 15, at 6 p.m. This event will be held at the Birmingham Police Academy located at 401 6 Avenue South.
The Birmingham Police Explorers Program is a community-based policing program that is a partnership through the Birmingham Police Department and Boys Scouts of America.
The Explorer program is designed for males and females that are interested in getting a better understanding of law enforcement. Being a part of the Birmingham Police Explorers Program can open many doors of career development.
This program is for individuals between the ages of 14 years old, that are in the ninth grade, through the age of 20.
