Body found in Trussville identified
Body found in Trussville has been identified by police.

The body found in Trussville at the corner of Commerce Drive and U.S. Highway 11 on Friday has been identified, according to the Trussville Tribune.
Sergeant Michael Bruce of the Trussville Police Department said the man was identified as Joe Fred Skelton, Jr., 47, of Northport. Skelton is a white male known to be around the Birmingham area on and off for the last couple of years.
“Our investigation still fully involved,” Bruce said. “Whether the death was accidental or intentional, the fact remains that somebody dumped a body in our city and tried to hide it. We’re still fully involved with the investigation into the circumstances that led to his death.”
