Sylvan Springs man shot to death by wife identified
Keith Franklin Hilyer, 41, was shot to death by his wife on Saturday.
A man who was shot to death by his wife in Sylvan Springs on Saturday has been identified. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the man as Keith Franklin Hilyer, 41.
On Saturday night, deputies from the sheriff’s office responded to a report of a woman shooting her husband at the 200 block of Oak Lane in Sylvan Springs.
When they arrived, they found Hilyer dead at the scene. He was pronounced deceased at 8:46 p.m. A 33-year-old woman was taken into custody at the scene.
The sheriff’s office had kept Hilyer’s identity under wraps until members of his family could be notified. No motives have been announced.
