Birmingham man sustains life-threatening injuries after shoot out
BIRMINGHAM – A Friday shooting has left a man with life threatening injuries, according to Al.com.
At around: 4:15 a.m. Birmingham police were dispatched to the 3800 block of Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd North. Responding officers found a man in the street, he had numerous gunshot wounds.
The shooting occurred right outside a private club where the victim was having a birthday party, according to BPD Sgt. Timothy Gardiner.
Police have identified the victim as a black male, but have not released his name. He was transported to the UAB Hospital where his injuries, considered to be life-threatening, were attended to.
Gardiner advised that detectives believe the incident stemmed from an altercation.
There are no suspects in custody.
