Montgomery man charged with sex abuse of child, chemical endangerment of child
MONTGOMERY – On Monday Charles Edward Colburn, 51-year-old male from Montgomery, was arrested. Colburn has been charged with two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of sex abuse of a child under the age of 12 and one count of chemical endangerment of a child, as reported by Carol Robinson of Al.com.
According to authorities the abuse occurred between the dates of June 29, 2017 and June 29, 2018 at Colburn’s home on Miller Street. Court records list the victims as three black females ages 8, 9 and 11.
As for the chemical endangerment charge, the records state that Colburn “knowingly, recklessly or intentionally caused or permitted (the 9-year-old victim) to be exposed to, ingest or inhale or to have contact with a controlled substance, chemical substance or drug paraphernalia.”
Colburn is also facing two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12.
There are also two rape charges. It is alleged that Colburn engaged in sexual intercourse with the 8 and the 11-year old.
