Crimson Tied: UCF recognized, along with Alabama, as 2017 National Champs
It is official. The NCAA has recognized UCF as one of 2017 National College Football Champions according to Al.com.
The 2018 record book lists the Knights and the Crimson Tide as the two teams that finished the season No. 1.
UCF finished their season undefeated with their final win coming in over Auburn at the Peach Bowl. They finished the year atop the Colley-Matrix, which is one of the ranking systems recognized by the NCAA.
The NCAA, according to The Orlando Sentinel, recognizes the teams that finish atop major polls, including the Colley-Matrix.
